ACP Keep their Cool in London
This particular project was for the Royal sun Alliance, project managed by Alfred McAlpines. Working to tight deadlines, 4 x cooling towers had to be taken out and replaced with new ones over 2 weekends.
Planning and communication was key to the success of this project and we had to work aongside the pipe fitters and electricians in order to meet the strict deadlines.
The Brief
Our brief was to:
- Remove the roof above the cooling towers
- Fabricate steelwork for the new towers
- Disconnect and dispose of pipework
- Remove old towers by crane
- Install new steelwork
- Crane in new towers
- Re-install roof after new towers were connected
Our staff had a number of obstacles to overcome, which they did and represented our company admirably.
We believe this is a good example of the capability of our company, showing excelent organisation skills coupled with a top quality, motivitated team.
